The Boyz

Took some cute pics of by boys just this week. Sheldon is so photogenic an really likes his picture taken. Jud was not as cooperative, and Crosby87 hardly sits still long enough to snap anything. He is learning though.

This one makes me chuckle. If i were adding thought bubbles to this photo, they would go something like this...

Sheldon: " heehee, little dude is going to getin trouble for eating dad's tie."

Jud: " awww, he's so cute."

Crosby87: " numnumnumnumnum"
Love this! Since we have one with Jud and Sheldon thought it would be cute to do with Crosby87. We thought Sheldon's feet were big, but...

Spending Time at Home

We enjoyed some time at home this month, just doing what we had too. We are enjoying the break while we can, and taking care of all the "beasties". My big boy sure loves his furry brothers.

Jud has been helping take care of our sick bunny, Colt. He has needed lots of medicine and care while he recovers.

Our furry boys are really starting to bond and spend quiet time together. Crosby87's quiet time is pretty short, he is a busy playful pup. We discovered the hard way that when we buy a toy or chew that we need to get two, one always wants what the other has. They don't fight over anything, but it is just too sad to watch one wait for the other to "drop" whatever so... No spoiled pups here, no way, lol.
His name is Crosby87, so we shouldn't be surprised he wants to play with a hockey stick. Too bad his idea of playing always means chewing, lol. Poor pup is fighting with those puppy teeth and trying to get in his big boy teeth. Teeething pups are much more difficult than teething babies, I think. Good thing he is so cute, lol.
Puppies, at least this one, are always hungry. Poor boy thinks he is going to starve, so decided to try eating by osmosis? Crosby87 took a nap with his food, that is an odd choice of Woobie but whatever works.
Two of my boys just hanging out, chillaxin'.

Carnival!

One of the local churches had a carnival. Jud rode rides and enjoyed some family fun. He and Dad ride the rides that Mama is too scared to ride. This one flipped them all over the place.
The Tilt-O-Whirl is about as crazy as Mama gets. We giggled until our bellies hurt though.
A fun summer evening with my favorite little boy.

NorthBark

Sheldon loves to go to the park, so as soon as Crosby87 had all his vaccines we took hm along for his first park experience. It was funny and sweet how Sheldon who keep an eye on him. Crosby87 stayed pretty close and was a little intimidated by the dogs. But both boys had fun. Sheldon tried to talk Crosby87 into going into the pond but he was not ready for that.
And this is the result of a fun play date at the park. Two tired puppies.

 NorthBark a week later...

Crosby87's second trip to the dog park was crazy fun. He decided to give his inner Lab a chance and went swimming. Boy did he like swimming. I thought I was going to have to send Jud into the pond to get him out, lol. Sheldon doesn't swim, he just goes in as deep as he can walk, but Crosby87 swam all over the place.

Then we went over to the other play area and they ran around and played with some other nice dogs.
And.... the trip home is always so peaceful and quiet. The boys are ready for their naps.

Dallas Stars Elite '04

Crosby87 got to watch Jud play hockey on the iPad. He watched and started barking, it was so funny. It sounded like he was saying "skate, Jud, skate!!"LOL
So Jud decided to try out for the Elite team for his first year of Squirt hockey, and he made it!!! He was super excited. A busy season coming up, with lots of work for our boy.
 Our Hockey Boys!

Jud loved watching the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup. After the game he decided he needed some gear to celebrate.

Camp Invention 2013

Jud went to Camp Invention again this year. He has a great time inventing things and creating projects. His friend from school, Savannah goes as well. These two have been in the same class since kindergarten. They are hoping to be together for 4th grade as well.

Puppy love

We are still getting used to having a puppy in the house. He is a cutie, but a lot busier than our other beasties. Crosby87 met Colt through the condo and was pretty curious, but not aggressive.

Puppies play hard and sleep hard.

These two can definitely play hard together. Sheldon will be happy when Crosby87 looses those sharp puppy teeth, so will the rest of us.

School's Out

Jud had a great school year. He made A honor roll every 6 weeks and did fantastic on STAAR testing. So next year we are off to 4th Grade.

Field Day was some messy fun.
3rd Grade Field Trip to the Arboretum was a blast.

Splash Day was a great way to end the school year.
Jud and Kayla say goodbye to Wylie wolf for summer. K moves on to Draper next year, Jud will miss his cohort.

Jud missed the last day of school this year, crazy kid got sick on us.

Welcome Crosby87

Jud and I had an adventure this spring. We met a sweet dog named Trixie, who had 8 puppies. Border collie/lab mixes. We thought it would be a good idea to foster 2, a boy and a girl. Their names were Chip and Tootsie. We took them home and Sheldon was very curious, but also very nervous. We tried for a week and realized that Sheldon just wasn't really excited about having puppies in the house. He liked them outside and played but just not inside.
The story has a happy ending though... My friend Jenn, has two kids and decided she wanted to foster, to adopt BOTH puppies. They are now named Brooke and Cooper. They live close by so we get to see them sometimes. Can't wait to unite them with their brother... This is where the story get interesting.
Chip(Cooper) is the brown with white feet and blue eyes and Tootsie(Brooke) is the blackish brown with white chest.

 MEET CROSBY87!!!!!

Marc, Jud and I went to take some donations to the shelter and met Reese. He is one of the sweet Trixie's litter, brother to Chip and Tootsie. Boy had these pups grown since we first brought the fosters home. We were thinking we could try introducing Sheldon to a pup closer to his size and maybe he would be more comfortable. We promptly renamed him Crosby87 (the 87 is silent), of course Jud came up with that.
This photo is Sheldon's first introduction to Crosby87, I think he wants to play, lol.

The two dogs are fast becoming close buddies. They play like crazy outside, running and wresting. We have our own canine version of WWF. Sheldon does play with him in the house but seems to know tat if things are getting rowdy it is time to head outside. And, if Sheldon needs a break from the puppy, he has a soft bed and toys in Mama's closet he can escape to.

Random April-May

April and May whizzed by in a blur! School was finishing up, with testing and hockey camp was in full swing. We managed to get in some quiet and relaxing moments though.

Jud and I built this awesome Lego Movie theater.

Mother's Day, my boys woke me up with some cuddle time.
Talk about BFFs. Jud and Sheldon have the best time cuddling up together.

Jud and some of his lacrosse friends went to the paintball place and had a blast.

Sheldon wasn't sure how Colt got back under there, but I did tell him it wasn't hinny first.

Easter

Easter baskets for our boys. The bunny is good to them both, quite a haul there.
Well this was a great place to hide an egg.

Jud gets to help Sheldon with his basket. I think our big puppy sampled everything.

Who needs an Easter Bunny when you have and Easter Sheldon.
